The Hon Ekpa Raphael Aduojo campaign committee and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Olamaboro Area Chapter wishes to condemn in entirety and in the strongest of terms the primitive, unwarranted and unprovoked attack on the campaign team of Hon Linus Enenche, the House of Assembly candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and member presently representing Olamaboro state constituency in the state House of Assembly by thugs loyal to the All Progressive Congress . For the records, Hon Linus Enenche who was billed to flag off his campaign today at the Ogugu ward 1, 2 and 3 was attacked alongside his campaign team by thugs loyal to the All Progressive Congress at the Ojuwo Ogah section of the Igah-Ikeje -Ogugu road where mayhem was unleashed on his team with persons been beaten and vehicles had their windscreen shattered. The said thugs not satisfied with the violence unleashed on the team proceeded to the house of Hon Joe Agada, the venue of the said campaign and destroyed canopies, chairs and every other form of preparatory activities put in place by the PDP leader. We make bold to say that this antics of the All Progressive Congress and their candidates in the forth coming election is alien to the people of Olamaboro who have evolved a reputation of politics of tolerance and understanding over the years. We at Team ERA and the Olamaboro Chapter of the African Democratic Congress denounce this acts and condemn same in the strongest of terms, may we add this act of the APC is a serious attack on peace, progress and development of the Area Council and should be condemned by all well meaning Olamaboro citizens. We wish to further add that such unprovoked attacks if unchecked are capable of undermining whatever gain we have hitherto made politically as a people. We wish to reiterate our wholesome commitment to issues based campaigns and politics of peaceful coexistence, we will remain committed to all guidelines as have been released by the INEC while calling on the good people of Olamaboro and Nigerians in general to be more vigilant and circumspect as plans are under way by the All Progressive Congress to undermine democracy and free, fair and credible election in the ensuing processes. May we by this statement encourage our teeming supporters to stay committed while keeping hope with the African Democratic Congress to deliver purposeful, quality and people oriented representation to our people in the unfolding political era.
