The suspected male suicide bomber dressed in female attire with suicide vest strapped over his waist was apprehended before carrying out the nefarious act on Friday morning in Biliri local government area of Gombe State.
The suspected bomber was according to reports, attempting to blow up a Catholic church where Christmas service was ongoing, but was arrested by some vigilante Muslim youth who were guarding the church.
The would-be-suicide bomber; a male in his late twenties was dressed like a woman, with neatly plaited hair made to look as though ‘’she’’ was attending the Christmas church service.
According to reports, the vigilance of some youths around the church who noticed the strange movement of the bomber, saved the day as it would have been a black Christmas today in Gombe.
