Hashim Amla has resigned as South
Africa's cricket captain immediately after his side drew the second Test
against England.
The 32-year-old had been in poor
form but made a double century to inspire his side's fightback after England
scored 629-6 declared in their first innings in Cape Town.
AB de Villiers will lead South
Africa in the third Test of the series, which starts in Johannesburg on 14
January.
England lead the four-match Test
series 1-0.
