The Nigerian army says it has recovered weapons and
ammunition from robbers, cattle rustlers and other criminal elements in the
north-western part of the country.
The weapons were displayed at a press conference in northern
Kaduna city.
The army and police have been waging a joint operation to
tackle cattle rustling and other criminal activity in the region.
It seems the army was called in because the police were
battling to cope on their own.
