Sensational Singer Omawumi
Megbele, has struck another hit as she teams up with an international singer
and Grammy award winner, Angelique Kidjo with a music titled: “Play Na Play”.
She said that the song
was about human life and all the difficulties associated with it.
``Most times people do
more than what they can swallow, though the will of God is supreme.
``It is better to look
before you leap, many things you see in life make you see more clearly and tell
you the things you need to do, ’’ Omawunmi was quoted as saying.
The singer introduced fans and artistes to a whole new kind of production by
recording a live album.
Play Na Play is a live
production arranged by Cobhams Asuquo, a popular musician and producer.
The video was recorded
live in Lagos, Johannesburg and Houston, Texas, U.S.
It also featured
Grammy nominated African artist, Salif Keita and other international
collaborators yet to be announced.
The Delta born
artiste, who came into lime light in 2006 when she won the "Idol West
Africa" has since recorded huge successes in the music and movie
industries respectively.
She recently released
her third album, which she performed across Africa and other parts of the world
such as South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Singapore, Switzerland and New York
City.
Omawumi said her yet
to be titled third album was scheduled for release in the first quarter of
2016.
