The Pipeline and Products Marketing
Company (PPMC), says normalcy will soon be restored in petrol supply to Lagos,
south west Nigeria.
In a statement, PPMC said it needed
to intervene after the leadership tussle between the mobile branch and national
office of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union (PTD).
The issue, which also involved the
management of the midstream subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC), caused a hitch in petrol supply in the state.
Meanwhile, NNPC has advised motorists
not to resort to panic buying as the situation was under control adding that
there was sufficient stock of products in Lagos and across the country.
