Newcastle
have signed Ivory Coast striker Seydou Doumbia on loan from Roma, subject to a
medical.
The
28-year-old forward joined the Serie A side in January 2015 for a reported
£10m.
But he made
only 13 appearances for them before making a loan switch to CSKA Moscow for a
second time.
Doumbia has
scored 66 goals for the Russian club over the two spells, having previously
scored 50 times for Swiss Super League side Young Boys.
